About

I decided to interview myself for the about page.  It was no small feat to write questions that would leave the interviewee stumped, but alas it was a challenge that undertaken for you my dear blog reader.

Q: Why write a blog about Cycling and the Catholic Faith?

A: I am extremely passionate about both and I figured why combine my two passions into one mind blowing blog.

Q: Care to elaborate on that a bit, you didn’t exactly provide a stellar answer?

A:  Both cycling and the Catholic faith, when viewed by those who aren’t active participants, can seem like weird and crazy activities.  I mean in cycling you have a bunch of guys who will sit around and discuss the best way to shave their legs and which spandex blend is the best for long distance riding.  On the flip side Catholics have a long list of dogmas and doctrines they believe in and then there is the whole Eucharist.  All of it can be kind of intimating and unnerving when viewed from the outside, or even the inside for that matter.  I want to show the beauty in both the Catholic faith and in the sport of cycling.

That answer suit you a little better.

Q:  Much better, still room for improvement, but I’ll let it slide.

A:  You know I’d rather be interviewed by Barbara Walters, she has such a way of drawing the answers out and making you want to talk.  You on the other hand are not very nice.

Q: Duly noted but you’re stuck with me.  Now on to the next question.  How many times a week do you post?

A:  I try to post once a week at a minimum sometime two.  It depends on whether or not I can come up withe something worth saying.

Q: What do you write about?

A: If I knew what I was I going to write about every week my life would be a whole lot easier.  Care to rephrase the question?

Q: Fine, what topics will you be discussing?  That better for you.  You are the most difficult interviewee I have every had you know.

A:  Much better question.  I will be discussing different aspect of what life as a Catholic is like and what life as a cyclist is like.  I might cover bike training, bike repair, the sacraments, prayer.

Q: You have no idea what you’re going to write about do you?

A:  Honestly, no, but that won’t stop me from writing.

Q: Anything else you want to add?

A:  I would just like to thank all those who read my blog.  I really do appreciate people taking time out of their day to read what I have to say.  If you ever have a topic you would like me to tackle leave me a comment and I’ll do my best.

Next time we do one of these things, I’m requesting a new interviewer.  You really do need to brush up on your interviewing skills.

Q:  Right back at you.
